Incentives

Up to 100% of your project, covered.

EV charging is one of the most heavily incentivized amenities in real estate. Buzze finds, files, and secures every dollar your project qualifies for — as a free service, with a full-time incentives specialist on every project.

$0 — the service is free Never invoiced before your award letter We never inflate pricing to capture funding
The offering

A full-time incentives specialist. Zero added cost.

Incentive programs are fragmented, deadline-driven, and paperwork-heavy — so we staff for it. Your project gets a dedicated specialist who owns the entire funding lifecycle.

  • Every eligible program, found

Utility make-ready and charger rebates, state and local grants, air-district funds, and federal programs — stacked wherever the rules allow.

  • Applications prepared & submitted

Programs found, applications prepared, approvals coordinated, and reimbursements filed — start to finish.

  • Compliance & reporting handled

Any usage reporting or program compliance the funding requires stays off your team's plate.

  • Portfolio batching

Submit multiple properties at once — the same spec and paperwork, repeated across your pipeline.

Funding is confirmed in writing before you spend a dollar with us.

You own the hardware

Chargers and equipment sit on your balance sheet from day one — incentives attach to your asset, not ours.

Reporting handled

Whatever the program requires post-install, we file it. Your team never chases a compliance deadline.

The process

From site plans to reimbursement.

Share your site & electrical plans

Architectural, civil, or electrical plans and panel schedules — whatever stage you're at. Pre-development through already-built all work.

We map your incentive stack

Your specialist searches every eligible program — utility, state, local, air district, and federal — and builds a funding plan alongside a code-compliant charging layout sized to maximize it.

Applications prepared & submitted

We prepare the paperwork, coordinate approvals with program administrators, and time filings against your construction schedule.

You are never invoiced before your award letter

Award letter → build

With funding confirmed in writing, equipment is supplied and installed — full turnkey or alongside your electrical contractors — and commissioned ahead of your CO date.

Reimbursements filed, reporting handled

We file for reimbursement, chase the disbursement, and take on any ongoing program reporting for the life of the requirement.

Timing

Earlier is better. Late isn't a problem.

The most funding is captured when we join around 50% design — but three of four paths stay fully incentive-eligible even after a property is built: EV-ready shells, retrofits, and vendor swaps. Incentives simply require Buzze as the equipment and network provider.

Common questions

Incentive FAQs.

What does Buzze's incentive service cost?
Nothing. The incentive search, applications, approvals, and reimbursement filings are included on every Buzze project at no additional cost — and we never inflate project pricing to make up for it.
When do we pay for the project?
Not before your award letter. Buzze never invoices until your incentive funding is confirmed in writing, so you're never signing on a hope.
What kinds of programs cover multifamily EV charging?
Utility make-ready and charger rebate programs, state and local grants, air-district funds, and federal programs. Availability varies by market — your specialist maps exactly what your property qualifies for and stacks programs where the rules allow.
Does an existing property still qualify?
In most cases, yes. EV-ready properties with nothing purchased, live properties without charging, and vendor swap-and-expands all remain incentive-eligible. The main constraint: incentives require Buzze as the equipment and network provider.
Who owns the chargers once incentives are applied?
You do. Hardware and equipment sit on your balance sheet from day one — open-standard, OCPP-certified, and yours to keep regardless of network choice.
Can we submit multiple properties at once?
Yes — portfolio owners regularly batch applications across properties using the same standardized spec, which speeds both the paperwork and the installs.
